A church family who loves you

About Us

The historic Lincoln United Methodist Church has been a landmark in Lincoln, California, for 125 years! Our church is now the oldest church in Lincoln.  Constructed in gothic revival style, it is known for its unique historical stained glass windows surrounding the sanctuary interior. Visitors come from great distances to see the colorful symbolism and inscriptions dedicated to pioneer ministers, circuit riders, and others who contributed dramatically to the pioneer days of religion in our church.

Methodism is a religious denomination founded on John Wesley's belief that Christians should:

"Do all the good you can,
in all the places you can,
to all the people you can.

The United Methodist Church's motto says it all:

"Open hearts, open minds, open doors."

We believe that everyone should have access to our Lord and his son, Jesus Christ, no matter where your journey has led you and the choices you have made.

The cross and flame is the official logo of the
United Methodist Church.
The cross represents the presence of Christ; the flame represents the power of the Holy Spirit. Taken together, they depict the activity of God in our lives, what God does for us in Christ – what John Wesley called " justifying grace" – and what God does in us through the work of the Holy Spirit – what Wesley termed "sanctifying grace."
