In April, a pair of beautiful brass flower vases were acquired in memory of Carol Hardcastle. The vases, soon to be engraved, will be placed on the altar for use each Sunday. Because Carol loved flowers and decorating the altar for the different liturgical seasons, the vases were the perfect choice as a remembrance.

Our UMW hosted a lovely Ladies Afternoon Tea for the women of our church and their friends on Saturday April 8th. The tables in our Social Hall were beautifully decorated with flowers in teapots and china place settings. Barbara entertained us with song, and Pastor Judith gave an inspiring talk. Our Chef Rose served delicious chicken salad croissant sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, fruit kebabs, and lemon cupcake desserts. Plus, tea, of course! Then the UMW women reminisced about some of the special items that they displayed on the tables.

Pastor Rob started a sermon series on The Apostle's Creed in January. The church is more than a gathering of people or a collection of Christians. At its heart, the church is a community of believers who are joined together by their common faith in Jesus Christ. The Apostles' Creed boldly declares the Christian faith. We examined this wonderful, historic statement of the Christian faith, based on the Word of God.
