A church family who loves you

Gathering Inn

Several times a year, our team of volunteers cook and serve dinner to the homeless at the First United Methodist Church in Roseville in partnership with the Gathering Inn. Led by our very own Chef Rose, this is a powerful ministry where we serve as the face, hands and love of Jesus Christ to those most in need here in Placer County.

Throughout the year, the Gathering Inn provides an overnight homeless shelter at a hosting church in south Placer County. The homeless individuals and families are provided a safe and secure environment to have dinner and sleep inside where they are protected and warm.

The Gathering Inn is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2005 by a group of Auburn clergy from many different faiths. It offers a wide range of services to help homeless individuals and families get back on their feet again. In addition to the nightly homeless shelter, these services include access to showers, lockers and clean clothes. With the aid of the case management team, they can also receive healthcare, housing and employment opportunities.

The Gathering Inn:
Our Mission
The Gathering Inn is a nonprofit organization offering a community based response to south Placer County's homeless population. With the assistance of more than 60 local churches, our mission is to provide physical, mental and spiritual restoration for homeless women, men and children in south Placer County. We do this by providing our guests with social, health and case management services that will help them become active participants in our community to the best of their ability. We give voice to our community's belief that care for persons in need is both a blessing and a responsibility.
